This is a 15 ft glow rod kit for pushing and pulling camera or network cable in dark spaces. Three 5 ft rods screw together to 15 ft. Each rod is 3/16 inch wide.
The fiberglass rods glow in the dark so you can see them in attics, crawl spaces, and behind walls. They are splinter-free. Steel connectors have flats so you can tighten each joint. Threads are standard 8-32, so they fit most other glow rods. Each rod is rated to pull up to 500 lb.
The kit includes an eyelet, ball chain, flashlight whisk, and hook (RDG-RP4A). It ships in a reusable plastic storage tube.
How to use
- Screw the rods together to the length you need.
- Tighten the steel connectors on the flats.
- Screw on an attachment if you need to grab or pull a cable.
- Push or pull the cable through the dark run.
