What you need for AHD

AHD is the coax camera system. Not PoE. Cameras run on 12 volt power and send video on RG59 cable to a DVR.

  1. AHD cameras.
  2. A DVR (the recorder for coax cameras). Skip anything with Lite in the name.
  3. A hard drive in the DVR.
  4. RG59 siamese cable (video and power in one jacket).
  5. A 12 volt camera power supply, not a PoE switch.
  6. A monitor if you want a screen on the wall.

Houses, shops, offices, and warehouses all use the same parts. More cameras means a bigger DVR and more power outputs.
