Two ways to get Cat 6 from A to B.
Bulk cable (the 1000 ft box)
You pull the run, cut it, and put RJ45 ends on yourself. That is the right path for cameras, door stations, and anything in a wall or outside. Outdoor and direct burial jackets are in that aisle. Solid copper for long runs.
Premade cable (ends already on)
Short jumpers for inside a cabinet: recorder to switch, switch to a nearby device. You cannot pull a 50 ft premade through a wall as cleanly as bulk.
Need two premade cables to act like one longer jumper? A Cat 6 coupler joins them, female to female, so you can extend a run without crimping.
