This is the recorder for IP / PoE cameras. Cameras plug into it. A hard drive inside keeps the video. Watch live on a monitor or your phone. No monthly camera fee.
Pick the channel count from how many cameras you have now, plus a couple of spare ports. Most homes use 8 or 16. Then add a SkyHawk hard drive sized for how many days you want to keep, and a lock box so it is not sitting on a shelf.
