Local only. No monthly.
Devices talk on your network. Factory default is local. Answer on an indoor station on the wall. Unlock from that screen. If the internet dies, the door still rings inside. Good for a shop, plant, or anyone who does not want a subscription.
Cloud, with a subscription (SmartPlus)
Stations and readers join Akuvox SmartPlus. The phone app sees the door from anywhere. Talk. Unlock. Guest QR and virtual keys. Photo log of who came in. Property staff can issue keys without chasing fobs. Apartments and offices use this so tenants and employees carry the door in their pocket.
SmartPlus is the residential-style cloud. Commercial sites that live on access more than ringing use the same idea on the access cloud. Either way it is a subscription on top of the hardware you buy here.
What stays the same
The outdoor station, the indoor screen, the reader, and the lock. Mix and match. PoE. Cat 6. The difference is only where the brains and the app live.
